PPC “Combat” Match
Date: 2nd Sunday of every month
Match Starts – 10:00 am / Registration – Begins at 9:00 am
Match Fee - $15.00
Although the PPC Match (Police Practical Course) was designed for law enforcement training, the HRPC has incorporated the basic elements of this match to create a challenge for all. Some fondly refer to this match as the “Combat Match”.
Equipment Recommended:
Centerfire revolver or semi-auto pistol (barrel length roughly 4 to 6 inches)
Holster appropriate for firearm used
150 rounds of ammo (Centerfire cartridges .38 to .45; includes 9mm)
(5 more rounds for “luck” match at the end of the regular course)
Minimum of 3 speed loaders for a revolver, 4 magazines for a semi-auto pistol (More is always better). Pouch(s) for speed loaders and/or magazines are helpful
* Competitors may use a .22 rimfire, non-magnum pistol or revolver. Their scores, however, comprise a separate class and cannot be used for record. Competitors using a .22 do not use holsters and begin each stage from the “low ready” position.
NOTE: We recommend all shooters bring a staple gun for posting targets, a clipboard and pen or pencil for keeping score and black or beige tape, depending on the targets, for pasting and repairing targets when necessary.
